Does not degrade. Armadyl Helm is 1.6m, not an exorbitant amount. It has +3 ranged attack bonus over Karil's.Black d hide is even more op for its price, but karils isn't exactly expensive. Karils skirt is like 2m and black dhide is 8k. Black dhide has better melee defense where as Karils has slightly better range and mage defense by around 15% in terms of numbers. Even with amethyst arrows, pretty sure Karil's is better than MSB (I), only by about 5%, but still better. This isn't factoring in the spec, but the extra hit would have to add 5% total DPS just to break even.
